YOU NEED TO GO TO YOUR START MENU AND THEN YOUR CONTROL PANEL IN THERE YOU SHOULD FIND SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF SYSTEM RESTORE OR YOU CAN RESTORE TO A CERTAIN POINT IT'S UP TO YOU. GOOD LUCK!

In the last couple of years laptops have been shipped without installation disks which you would normally use for a resore / re-install.
They are now commanly shipped with a "recovery partition" which the user is meant to make there own CD's saving the manufaturer a couple of bucks.
If the system is not infected you may recover directly from this partition.
type your make model and re-install into a search engine for results as brands differ in proceedure.
Factory settings/ condition could mean alot of things. If you are selling this PC and you have confidential info on it there is no real way of wiping it. Pulling out the hard drive is the most extreme and sometimes necasarry measure.
If the info is'NT that important but would like to erase. Get a hdd file shreading program and do 7 shreads. No more no less.
