open tail gate, pop the gray trim panel off rear hatch(dont worry they are held in with clips),twist and pull old light out, replace, push and twist, pop pane back on.

To replace the brake light on a 2001 Dodge Durango the light lens must be removed. It is held on by a clip on one side and a hinge on another. It opens like a door to access the brake light housing.

You can access the middle brake light from the inside of your 2000 Dodge Neon cargo compartment. Remove the brake light wiring harness. Remove the brake light retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new brake light.
