how do you change a 1998 Honda accord front wheel bearing
The squeak is caused by lack of lubrication to the steering bushing. Pull the steering wheel off. There is a rubber bushing that surrounds the steering shaft. Remove the bushing with a thin screwdriver. Once removed clean the bushing and shaft. Then add anti seize lube to the shaft and and bushing. Then use a 7/8 " deep socket to drive the bushing back into the steering housing. Clean and add anti seize lube to the bottom of the steering wheel . Then install the steering wheel.
Could be that the steering wheel rubber bushing is worn or lose. This bushing is located in the engine compartment, between the end of the steering wheel coulomb and the steering wheel likage...Tom

Most of the time it is the bushing in the top of the column. .Pull the steering wheel off, pull the locking plate for the steering wheel, pull the blinker assembly, then you will come to a stiff spring that preloads the bushing under it.....That bushing, and spring need to be replaced, and you have cured your problem. . . . .
