When doing this job, a filter and fluid change is recommended. Remove the transmission vale body cover. Do this slowly to drain off the fluid in one of the corners. The filter is mounted to the valve body. The two solenoids sit together in the valve body. Unplug the wiring harness from each solenoid They are held in by a clip, you may need a needle nose pliers to help remove these clips. The solenoid A will have some light spring pressure pushing it out after clip is removed. After removing the solenoids, check to make sure both valve move freely in the body. Take care not to scratch the valve spool, or body port. They should move very easily. If all moves, wipe fluid off vale body, clean gasket area, put everything back together.
