Good morning, you will find the plugs in same position as my 2001 model. Firstly you will have to undo the battery then remove the plastic hood on top of the motor (only put there to make motor look flashy, once removed you will see four portholes leading down into the spark plug chambers, you will need a long extension fitted to your socket set, undo the plugs, and you may then need a spring claw reaching device. Just ensure you put the correct plugs in top plastic cover and re-join cables to the battery. hope this helps, Iain.

with a socket, swivel, extension, and ratchet.
How do you install spark plugs on a 96 nissan maxima?
A 96 maxima does not have "a distributor" it has 6 individual distributors or coil packs. One for each cylinder/spark plug. They are on the top side of the spark plugs.
if you can get it on a hoist...its so much easier and quicker from below...trust me
you dont rotate it you have to pull the altnator off to change them
The spark plugs in this car are on the side of the engine. They are seen after the engine cover is removed.
To change the spark plugs in a 1996 GMC van, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the ignition wires by gently pulling them off the spark plugs, then use a spark plug socket and ratchet to unscrew the old plugs. Check the gap on the new plugs, install them by hand to avoid cross-threading, and tighten them with the socket. Finally, reconnect the ignition wires and the battery.
To change the spark plugs in a 1996 Toyota Paseo, first ensure the engine is cool, then disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the ignition wires or coil packs from the spark plugs, then use a spark plug socket and ratchet to carefully unscrew and remove the old spark plugs. Before installing the new plugs, check the gap with a gap gauge and adjust if necessary. Finally, screw in the new plugs by hand, tighten them with the socket, reconnect the ignition wires, and reattach the battery cable.
A 6-cylinder has SIX and a 4-cylinder has FOUR spark plugs.... Am I missing something here?
You can change the fuel filter and that might do it. If it doesn't it can get quite complicated. Take it to a good mechanic. Also, try replacing or cleaning the spark plugs, distributor cap, and wires attached to the spark plugs. I had the same problem with my Sephia. A little tune-up should fix it nicely.
