Disconnect battery positive, jack up pass side so you can get under car, follow pos batt cable to end to locate, Remove pos cable and wires from solenoid, noting their location, Should be held in place with 2-3 long bolts into block. Be very careful to support starter when you remove the last one-they weigh almost 50 lbs-or the same as your battery. Be sure problem is not the charging system before you proceed. many replace starters needlessly when problem is elsewhere. they take almost 10 volts to crank, so that is where a battery problem first becomes evident.
