On a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire, the fuel filter is located along the fuel line, typically near the fuel tank. It is mounted on the chassis, just in front of the rear axle, and can be accessed from underneath the vehicle. For easier access, you may need to raise the car and secure it with jack stands.
