There's a buttton on the dash that changes it from miles to kilometers, or vice versa. It's near the trip odometer button, and is a simple procedure.

Why does the oil in my Prius not turn black even after a year's worth of driving?

You should not wait that long to change your oil...reagdless of what color it may be. Black or not, the oil should be changed every 3000 miles. Nice going. Well, we do change the oil twice a year and we only drive about 3-4 thousand miles a year! But the oil looks like new every time I change it! If I am not mistaken the Prius engine does not run all of the time.

How often do you change timing belt on Toyota Prius?

The 2004 and later Prius models do not have a timing belt, so the answer for them is "never". They use a chain, which should only be replaced when major engine work is done or if it breaks, which could be 150K miles or more. I'm not sure if the pre-2004 model has a belt or not, but if they do the change interval will be in your owner's manual.

How do you reset the maintenance required light on a 2008 Toyota Prius?

Free video instructions on how to reset maint reqd on Toyota prius go to www.vehix411.com If you change the oil (and filter) yourself, here's how to reset the light so it will stay off until the next change is interval has expired: 1) With the power on, switch to the odometer/trip-meter to display "ODO". 2) Power OFF (push the "Power" button). 3) Power ON, while holding the button for "ODO". 4) Wait for the reminder light to stop flashing, then release. While the reset is taking place, you'll see the odometer value change to 5 dashes. Then each will be disappear, one at a time from the left.
