the speed sensor is located on top of the differential housin to replace this, remove wire harness fro sensor remove securing bolt from sensor pull old sensor out put new sensor in replace and tighten bolt hook up wire harness easy job huh
The speed sensor, on a 2001 Honda Civic, is attached to the front drive wheel. The drive wheel is the front wheel on the passenger side.
speed sensor is located at top of rear differential
The vehicle speed signal comes from the transmission output speed sensor on the front of the trans.
its located at the rear drive axle
where is the speed sensor located on the 2004 Chevrolet suburban 4 wheel drive z71
The vehicle speed sensor for your speedometer is on your transmission for 2 wheel drive, and on your transfer case for the 4 wheel drive. If it is on a AWD (All Wheel Drive) there is no source that I can find to give this location.
It is screewed into the transfur case.
On a two wheel drive model the sensor is located on the top of the transmission. On four wheel drives the sensor is on the transfer case.
If it is 4 wheel drive the front speed sensors are mounted into the front hub/bearing assemblies behind the brake rotor. If it is 2 wheel drive the front speed sensors are mounted to the spindle behind the rotor. In any case, just follow the speed sensor wire harness and it will lead you to the sensor.
If it is the rear sensor, it will be in the differential. If it is a front sensor, it will be located at each front wheel.
You didn't mention if it were 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive, need more info.
Need to know if you are asking about the vehicle speed sensor, a front wheel speed sensor or rear wheel speed sensor.
