very very big job!!!!! dont recommend for the novice or driveway mechanic. if you blew your apex seals then you more than likely ruined your intermediate housing and more than likely blew out all the other seals. you will need new housings apex seals, corner seals, side seals etc. to many to name. look into a new engine, much easier.
Depends, which engine is in the 85, 13b or 12a?
the American 13B-S5 has 200hp the JDM 13B-S5 (which is what I have) has 220
Your apex seals might be bad, your engine may need a rebuild!
My 91 rx7 idles at 1000-1200, which i believe is the norm.
A 86 rx7 has a 13b wankel rotory engine only the turbo edition was turbo charged
Gsl= 12A , Gsl-se 13B.
ha ha! you need apex seals. Very common with rotary's.
on the 13b engine it should be behind the waterpump, just below the thermostat.
Turbos gone bro :S
some rx7 series 3s came out with a 13b motor ,an are only marginally bigger an i owned a series 4 13bt motor in a series 2 rx7 its one of the best engine conversions that you can do add toyota hilux diff with 4.3 centre out of a diesel hilux is much better pick
I have an 87 7mge non turbo and i beat my buddies 89 rx7 with a 13b and webber side drafts
7's do not have cranks. They are Rotaries.
