On the side of the key less entry fob is a black button with the shape of a key on the button. Depress the button and pull out the key which usually has a key ring attached. With the Toyota key removed you will see a slot about 5/16" long. Using a flat bladed screwdriver the length of the slot, twist the screwdriver and separate the two halves. With the two halves separated you can see the button battery that needs to be replaced. Replace the battery, snap the two parts back together, reinsert the key and you are ready to go for several more years. The correct battery size can be found in your owner's manual...
