I just replaced them in my 02 prerunner. The first step I did was to buy the Haynes manual(isbn-13: 978-1-56392-626-6) It was rather simple, I ended up taking off the brush guard and the radiator fan and shroud to gain access to the alternator belt tensioner. All the belt deflection requirements are listed in the haynes book. This project only requires moderate mechanical inclination. good luck
