Look inside the trunk. On both sides, near eac corner are access hatches for getting to the brake, directional and back-up lamp assembly. Raise up the trunk liner flap and you will see the back side of a white plastic assembly panel that holds the bulb sockets. Locate the small bronze colored Phillips screw. Back it out several turns and stop because it only will move but so far before it just keeps spinning. Then locate the two squeeze clips located on the white assembly and squeeze them to dislodge the assembly. Remove it carefully or else you will fracture the bulbs as you pull outward. The bulbs come out with a downward push and a twist.
The removal process will be easier if you first disconnect the grey plastic wire harness plug that supplies power to the assembly, but it idoes not have to be done. Look for a pressure clip to push in before pulling the grey plug out.
