I am searching for the answer on line now, but I can tell you our public library does subscribe to the how to tech book (name not known) which mechanics use to learn how to do the tasks we are trying to do. I have used this service before and printed out the answer at the public library so tomorrow I am going to the library and asking the librarian put me on line with this professional manual with pictures! The brake lights are located in the trunk of a 1997 Acura Integra. To replace them open the trunk and find the plastic housing. Remove and replace the bulbs.

are you sure it is the brake lights and not the tail lights. if it is the brake lights you most likely have a short some where. go to a auto eletrican It is the brake lights which turn on. Short in the switch or the wiring?

The brake lights won't turn off because the brake light switch on the pedestal of the brake pedal needs to be replaced.
check the brake light switch that is on top of your brake pedal under the dash, could be out of adjustment or bad.
