I need some bulbs for my instrument panel. If you go to your local library and check out the Bentley service manual it tells you how to pull it out and then it is easy to change the bulbs. Hope you will use the local library as a resource. thanks travis
It is very easy, first you need to remove the plastic dash cover around the instrument panel. You need to remove two screws located up in the instrument panel. Remove 4 screws and remove the instrument panel, disconet 3 electric plugs behind the instrument panel. After this you will have the instrument panel in your hand and you can check one by one each bulb. It have 2 differents bulbs.
remove the trim panel around the instrument cluster then remove cluster. On the back of instrument cluster are the bulbs just turn them half a turn and they come right out.
The cost of the actual bulb in the instrument panel for a Mercedes ml320 averages $40.00. A certified technician can charge between $100.00 and $200.00 to change the bulb.
I located the instrument panel illumination lights on my 1990 Nissan D21 Pick-up by removing the clear plastic panel that protects the gauges and pulling the instrument panel forward. To do this, screws must be removed from the dash panel located around the instrument panel. There are also screws securing the clock adjustment knob and the glass/instrument panel itself. The bulbs twist into the backside of the instrument panel. There are several of them. You will need to remove the instrument panel cover. Remove the retaining screws from the speedometer. The lightbulb will be on the back of the speedometer.
all of the bulbs in the instrument panel are on the backside of the instrument cluster.which means unless you can reach up under the dash to get to them you wiil have to remove the instrument cluster.
