I haven't done it (yet), but it should be pretty simple - there are about 6-8 Phillips screws to remove the console and access the shifter - from there you should be able to find the receptacles and change the bulbs. (I assume you mean the floor shifter lights, not the dash shift position indicator lights.)
This will sound weird, Change the bulbs in the visor mirror. The solenoid that allows the shifter to move grounds through these bulbs. Saabs were strange and wonderful until GM got ah-old of the company
There are two screws on the outside of the lens that are easily visible and must be removed. Then there is one other screw that is accessible only from inside the rear doorposts. That screw must also be removed to detach the lens and access the tail/stop/backup light sockets that must be twisted out to remove the bulbs.
There are many bulbs on a vehicle, need to know which bulbs you want to change.
One of the signal bulbs may have burned out.
I'm assuming that the vehicle is equipped with a push button shifter for the 4 wheel drive and the light doesn't light on the switch? If so, about 90% of the time it's the switch group itself. If the light were to come on and then blink (indicating that the front dirrerential isn't engaging) the you start looking farther forward. If yours has the floor shifter, there are actually bulbs under the graphic to the left of the shifter. The shifter cover will come up and you can replace bulbs as needed from there.
It depends on which bulbs you're asking about.
Not enough info - WHAT bulbs?
How do you change the light bulbs in the instrument panel in 1998 Toyota corolla

In recent years, the light bulb started to change when the newer CFL bulbs came out. The newer bulbs were energy efficient and people were urged to change older incandescent bulbs to the newer ones.
Well if you open your trunk you will be able to access your plate bulbs and help you change them with ease.
