rectangular door on the firewall (engine side) on passenger side of car. Open it up and slide out filter and plastic holder bracket (this is on a 2002 LeSabre.) Should be changed every 12,000 miles or so... Changing regularly is important for health of A/C compressor as running it with too little air flow over evaporator coil unit can cause compressor damage as well as freeze up and resulting mold and mildew buildup in evaporator unit. This is a high markup item so it pays to shop around online for this part as auto parts stores charge a fortune for this...
