How do you change the coolant temperature sensor on a 1995 Mercury Villager and how do you change or repair the fan motor?

Good luck with that fan motor. The blade is fused to the motor shaft an will most likely break when you try to separate them thus, the new motor they sell you will be useless.

It is the intake air temperature sensor , and it,s located in the air intake boot.

To change the thermostat on a 2002 Mercury villager, pull the hose away. If the bolts do not come off, wiggle the fitting to expose the thermostat to be able to change it.

p0128-- coolant temperature below thermotat regulating temperature---change thermostat first, and make sure coolant is ok!! then if it does not work. change coolant temperature sensor.

There is no way to change gear ratios.

According to the 1999 Mercury Villager scheduled maintenance guide : ( 105,000 miles ) It doesn't hurt to do it sooner since the engine is an interference engine

I looked at the Mercury Villager Owner Guides from ( 1996 , 1999 , and 2002 ) With engine oil filter change : Each Owner Guide shows ( 4.2 U.S. quarts )

You would have to be more specific regarding which filter you are talking about.

Check the Mercury Villager manual to see if there is a special procedure for cleaning the fuel injector. If not, you can purchase cleaner. You can also have the injectors cleaned by a mechanic or an oil change company.

you will have to remove intake and you will see it underneath two coolant lines. can be done. time cosuming and a lot to take apart. ON THE ENGINE HEAD AND IT IS VERY HARD TO BE CHANGED.

this is normal,because the coolant temp sensor is supposed to be in direct contact with the cooling fluid in order to read its temperature

The temperature in a Mercury-based thermometer is read by the level of Mercury found in the thermometer. As Mercury heats up, it expands, therefore raising the level of the Mercury of which we see as a higher temperature. On the other end, as the temperature falls, the Mercury contracts and reads at a lower temperature.
