Maybe we can explore this a little further since the first responder gave
only minimalist information.
While I have no intimate knowledge of your truck, we can pretty much
assume that either you'll have to crawl under the dash and feel around for
the bulb socket, IE: use the force, or you'll have to remove some of the
dash trim and the gauge panel to access the back of it.
Hopefully, one of the others, who knows more than you and I, will
pipe up with specific instructions.
If nothing else, I heartily suggest picking up a Haynes or Chilton manual
for your truck. As it's a 2000 model, I imagine that you're starting to have
little problems surface. The manual can help you solve a myriad of problems!
The 2000 Nissan Pathfinder OBD 2 port is on lower edge of dash; right of hood release
Undo the 2 screws on the plastic cover around the dash. Remove it and you will see 3 more screws. Pull the clocks to the side and you will see the all the little bulbs.
To change the dash light bulbs you must remove the instrument panel.
Replace the bulbs, change the fuse if its blown, and check the wiring to make sure its not damaged.

What model of Corolla ? You have to take the dash board out and the bulbs can be removed and replaced from the back. The dashboard on the Corolla is not that difficult to take out, but you have to do it slowly and carefully.

It is practically impossible to reach up behind the dash to change the bulbs. Remove the trim around the instrument panal and you should be able to pull it out enough to change the bulbs. You may have to disconnect the speedometer to get it out far enough.

take of ignition cowling .....2 screws and the clocks are out
take old one out, insert new one in after you remove the dash cluster.
The bulbs are actually soldered into the circuit board. The only way to change them is to dismantle the whole cluster and desolder then re-solder the bulbs.
