Remove the trim ring from around the dashboard cluster. There may be a few other pieces in the way, but you can work through it.
The dashboard assembly should be held in place with snaps or screws, but in any case it should pull straight out.
Once you have the assembly out, notice the bulb sockets on the back. I recommend that you replace them all at the same time to avoid having them fail at annoying intervals.
Note that the dashboard assembly plugs in to the vehicle, so make certain that you align it perfectly when you're putting it all back together. If it isn't plugged in properly and completely, SOMETHING won't work right.
The same way you do with any other car.
First you have locate the knob or the dial controls. This is what brightens the lights on your dashboard. Then you need to check the fuse that controls the dashboard lights. Most of the time the fuse needs a simple replacement.
This requires you to pull the dash panel out - the bulbs are located behind that. You will need to remove the trim pieces around the dash - then the dash display itself. Good luck. Eric
Which lights are lit? What do they say? There are many warning lights
If it is an SC2 the lights have to be flipped up and you have to have a torque screwdriver to get the light out. Be careful not to take out the WRONG screws.
Check that you haven't got the dimmer turned all the way down. If you can't find the dimmer, check your owners manual. You should have everything in this book memorized before you drive the car.
I found it! It is on the passenger side, open door and there is a handle/ round half circle opening on the side of dash which needs to be pulled hard to pop off. I had checked this spot several times but didn't pull hard enough, cuz I didn't wanna break it.
there are two small torx bolts on the inside of the trunk that i believe will make it possible to remove the light assembly
On the bottom right of the dash, looks like a box of explosives with a push down lever, with a an arrow pointing down at a wavy line
That is most likely the CV joint.
no.... The Saturn Sc2 (in all years of production) has a timing chain......much better in my opinion.
you don't the hydrolic lifters are directly above them.
