You don't actually change the refrigerant, you add to what is there. There is a "high side" and a "low side" to the AC. Go to Walmart and get a can of R-134a with a disposable charging hose and guage. Ii recommend getting a can with everything included (oil and sealant) It should be around $20. Find the "low side" connection. It should be on the left hand side when you are looking at the engine. They are aluminum lines and it should have a black plastic cap. The cap pulls off. Push on the quick connection from the can of R-134a. The high side and low side are physically different sizes and you cannot reverse the connections. Start the engine and set the A/C to max with high fan speed (front and back). Read the guage. It will tell you how much pressure is in the system. Squeeze the trigger or button to dispense the R-134a . The guage has a color coded scale on it. Stop adding when you are in the green. Read the can. It also has detailed instructions on it.
