just get a nice set of tires and stick it in 4wd! 4runners are great in the snow stock, but with some good tires they are f***ing insane!
The 2006 Toyota 4Runner in the 4WD Sport trim comes equipped with P265/65/17 tires. The largest approved size tires for this application are P295/35/24 which require aftermarket wheels.
If it is 4 wheel drive then there is a solid axle in the rear and a trans-axle in the front. the trans-axel has two CV shafts on either side connecting to the front tires. If it is 2 wheel drive then there is just a solid rear axle. and your front tires mount to spindles.
If that vehicle has all wheel drive all 4 tires need to be the same size.
1. Tires out of balance and/or out of round. 2. Worn tie rod ends or other front end parts. Get it checked at a good front end shop. 1. Tires out of balance and/or out of round. 2. Worn tie rod ends or other front end parts. Get it checked at a good front end shop.

Some special editions of the 1st generation Toyota 4Runner came stock with 31x10.5-15 sized tires. If you contact the parts department at your local Toyota Dealership you can get the speedometer gear for this tire size, as long as you keep the stock gear. I have heard of people cramming 33 inch diameter tires with no modifications to the vehicle however I would not recommend this due to rubbing issues.
If your 1991 Toyota Camry is vibrating, the tires might be wearing unevenly. This could be due to parts that are worn in the front end or even from tires that are damaged.
