First disconnect the negative lead on the battery. Then rent a bushing stud-groove puller from autozone. Now locate the fuel tank under the car, on the driver side of it you will have to unhook the emmisions bleeder valve, be sure to do this fast so the fumes do not build up under the car. Now you want to wait about 25 minutes before proceeding. This is why it cost so much to get it done at the dealership because of the labor time. Now with the emissions bleeder valve unhooked drain your tank to about 1/7th if you run 89 octane, 1/5 if you run 93 octane. If you have put octane booster in your vehicle you are going to need professional help.
Simply pry off the old filter and install the new one to 13 inch lbs of left hand torque. Rehook your emissions bleeder valve and let your vehicle idle for 45 minutes before driving. That is so the emissions bleeder sensor can recalibrate itself with the carbonite expansion sensor/
If possible make your first test runs in reverse.
Hope this helps.
