How do you change the fuse on Chevy Malibu when cigarette lighter doesn't work?

The best way to change the fuse is to get out the Chevrolet Malibu Manual that is provided. Near the back of the manual you will find a diagram of the Fuse panel. On the diagram it will show you where the fuse box is located. Most cars have a few different boxes so you will have to search the diagram for the one that says cigarette lighter. Once you find the fuse on the diagram, open up the fuse box and find the corresponding fuse in your car. Take it out and replace with a fuse of the same rating (AKA White number on the Top of it).

Change the fuse. when you open the driver door, on the side of the dash, theres a little panel that comes off, that's where your interior fuses are. there should be a sticker on the removable panel that shows you what each fuse is for, like a map.. find your lighter fuse and replace it with another of the same number. if it still doesnt work (cuz mine didnt) use a higher number. i had to use a 25. gl
