Pop the hood there is a bulb behind the headlight you need to twist it out counter clock wise and pull out, on my Subaru i have to pull out battery to get to driver headlight, other then that if nothing is on the way is just get hold of it untwist and when putting new one in make sure not to touch the glass part of the bulb reduces the lifetime of the bulb.
Look in the manual.
Open the 2001 Subaru engine compartment hood. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the headlight. Remove the headlight assembly bolts. The headlight will come out. Reverse the process to install the new headlight.

Sorry, but it won't. Subaru's changed their headlight shape every 3 years or so. They made a change around April 1997, so the one's before that are different from the ones after.
The headlight relay in a Subaru Loyale should be behind the instrument panel.

You will need to take the complete headlight assembly loose or out to get to the bulb to change it.
To change headlight bulbs in a 2005 Ford Escape, first make sure the light switch is in off position and replace the passenger light bulb. Next, get to the driver's side bulb, remove the battery by holding it down, to be able to change the headlight bulb.
You have to take the whole headlight out!!! Not joking! I couldn't believe it when i changed mine this morning!!!!
How does the clip go on to hold the bulb in place? I can't see all of the bulb holder.
I have a 2005 Echo hatchback and need to change my headlight bulbs...The issue is on the right side, it is fairly cramped with the fuse box and battery. I am looking for a quick answer or two that may get me on my way
