Take old bulb out put new bulb in.
Whatever you do if you need a good laugh go to a Toyota dealership and ask them what it would cost, my answer (in writing) $425. I was told they had to drop the bumper and that's why the labor was so high. The cost of the HID lamp was about $175 and labor about $200 give or take, needles to say I looked for a cheaper solution.
After a little investigating on the internet and looking at the lamp which I could clearly see and touch i decided to just see if I can get it out, and with in 2 MINUTES! I had the headlamp in my had and the kicker was didn't use a single tool to do it.
I unscrewed a black cover
removed 1 C style clamp,
twisted a plug counter clock wise to unlock it
pulled it away from the lamp
Depressed a butterfly style clamp
and literally twisted and pulled the lamp out
THAT SIMPLY!!!
The kicker is I went on Ebay and found these type of HID lamps in pairs for under $50 many many choices, a for cry from the $175 Toyota quoted us (in writing)
