most new vehicles are being made so that the bulbs are accessed from inside the vehicle or inside the trunk. Check inside your vehicle to see if there is a panel that will open directly in behind the light assembly. If so this is where you should be able to get to your bulbs. If not, some may be made in the way of having to take the whole back panel or a portion of the panel off the vehicle to get to the bulb, or some may be made in the way of just raising the hatch/lift gate and accessing the len and bulb from there.
