The Fuse for Licence Plate Lights on a Jaguar XJ8 [1999] is Located in the Fuse Box in the boot/Trunk on the right hand side it is Fuse No.-19 and is a 5AMP one.
How do you change the liscence plate light fuse
If your license plate light is out change the bulb in it, if you have taillights your fuse is good as the license plate light uses the same fuse as the taillights.
what is the number for the fuse to change the rear license plate light. and is it the fuse box under the back seat or under the hood? The plate light is protected by the parking/tail light circuit.
No because the licence plate light would only light up when you put the car in reverse. it is a seprate system. On the 2003 they are on the same fuse.
open the passenger door and its on the side of the dash :-)
The 2001 Toyota Camry license plate light fuse can be found in the fuse box. The license plate fuse will be labeled as the tail light fuse.
Licence plate light is connected to the parking lights circuit, turn them ON and the plate should be iluminated, if not, check the bulb /bulbs/ if OK, check the wires in the rubber gromet, connecting the van and the rear door, sometimes they break due to hardening of the plastic insulation, try ti wiggle them and keep an eye on the licence plate, if no luck, connect a new piece of wire between the licence plate bulb holder and one of the rear side marker lights bulb holder; check also the ground between the rear door and the body of the van
