Warm up your car to the operational temperature, jack it up if you have to. Put oil pan (to collect used oil) remove the plug. Where gloves with thermo insulation because the oil is hot. Let the oil drain, remove the oil cap. Wait until all oil drains out, then remove the filter. Put some tissue around because the filter is full of oil, and you do not want to have it on your engine. Clean the area of contact between filter and engine. Put some of new oil on the oil filter rubber gasket, tighten it. Do not use wrenches, unless you know torque specifications. There is a special clamp to install filter you can get it Walmart like for $5, cheap but it works for me. Using the clamp make 3/4 turn. Reinstall the oil drain plug, refill with new oil. For models 97-99 (4 cylinder) it's 3.8 quarts maximum.
