First, if you have to ask then it's probably smarter to just pay someone $25 to do the oil change. The cost of oil and filter even on sale is usually no less than $18 and you have to clean up everything and take the oil to a recycle center or auto parts store.

If you still want to change it yourself the process is the same on ANY vehicle:

1. Bring the engine to normal operating temperature and turn it off.

2. Raise the vehicle with a jack to get enough clearance under the engine to place an oil collection device.

3. Place the oil collection device under the oil drain plug.

4. Loosen and remove the oil drain plug.

5. Loosen and remove the oil filter. (Place a rag or pan under the filter to catch oil that drips off)

6. wipe off the filter seat with a clean rag.

7. make sure the filter seal ring came off with the old filter.

8. put a small amount of clean oil on the seal ring of the new filter.

9, install filter and tighten as directed on the side of the filter.

10. Reinstall oil drain plug and tighten.

11. Add 4 to 6 quarts of oil to engine depending on your vehicle. (Montana takes about 5 quarts)

12. Start engine and look for leaks.

13. Fix leaks if any found

14. Clean up the mess--Purple Power degreaser works the best for oil drips and spills.

Pour the used oil into a suitable container and take it to an autoparts store or other recycle center.
