Start the bike up and ride it or let it idle for a few minutes to war the oil up in the engine. Then kill the engine and loosen the drain plug on the bottom of the engine. Let all of the oil drain out and replace and tighten (careful to not overtighten) the drain plug. Remove the filler plug and add your oil.

On the bottom side of the cases either in the center or at the back (towards the rear wheel side of cases).
32:1 is a great gas to oil ratio for any two stroke motocross bike. Also, a Ratio Rite is recommended for accuracy and simplicity.

The 250SX is a 2 Stroke engine with a Gas (1.98 Gals Unleaded Premium 91 octane Recommended) to Oil Mixture (using Motorex Cross Power 2T at a 40:1 - 60:1 depends on oil quality) and when KTM says to Change the transmission oil the amount called for is 0.7 liters engine oil using Motorex Top Speed 4T 15W50.These Quanities are from an 04 250SX could not find a 2000. I have a KTM 300exc and when I had this problem my water pump seal had stARTED LEAKING CREATING PRESSURE IN CRANKCASE AND ADDING WATER TO OIL pushing oil out the vent. might check it... Bruce San Jose Calif
