How do you change the oil on a 2006 Harley Davidson Road king?

With the motor fully warmed up (so the oil is hot), remove the drain plug under the transmission, the one closest to the left side of the bike.

Drain oil and reinstall drain plug.

Remove the oil filter and replace it, after smearing a thin coat of oil on its gasket. Don't overtighten the filter, that just makes it harder to get off next time.

Pour 4 quarts of 20W50 oil into the filler located on the right side of the bike above the transmission.

Check oil level after running the bike and top off if necessary.
