The same way for any brass instrument--lower (pull out) the tuning slides
There are two ways. Change the speed of the air you put through it, or change which valves you have pressed down, or both.
The tuba has the lowest tone/pitch. It is actually a pretty cool instrument, I play it in concert band!!
An euphonium is overall a small tuba...but there are other differences too! -an euphonium has four valves while a tuba can have three of them. -tuba's can be close to 50 pounds! while an euphonium is lighter. -though both a tuba and an euphonium are bass instruments, tuba are the main bass that can most likely go lower than a euphonium
The Tuba
A tuba is a low pitched instrument. It uses the bass clef also.
The trumpet is much smaller than the tuba, hence it has a higher pitch.
Valves. They're used to change the pitch.

The lowest pitch, and therefore largest, is the tuba.
The trumpet is much smaller than the tuba, hence it has a higher pitch.
The Bass Clarinet, Trumbone, Tuba, Cello, Bassoon, and others have a low pitch. Just to list a few.
