Since you did not specify whether you want to change front or rears I'll explain both.

Front:

Tools required-

Plastic pry tool set (if you don't have a set, a small flat screw driver will do)

Phillips #2 screwdriver

Cutting Pliers

Drill *optional

1st:

Using your flat screwdriver, carefully pry the armrest and pull it out using your hand, then pry up the lock/unlock window switch control and unplug the harness. By the door handle/lock lever pry off the little screw cover.

Now you should see 2 screws by the armrest cover you just pry'd off and one screw by the handle; remove those.

Once these screws are removed, Using your hand, pull out the door panel starting from the bottom side where the speaker is located. When you start pulling, you will hear several popping noises, don't worry its normal you're just pulling up the clips You are not breaking anything. After you have pulled all around the door panel lift up the panel and pull it out towards you.

Now you can get down to business. you see how there are rivets holding the plastic 6 1/2" speaker in, this just stinks, you can drill them out if you want, what I normally do is cut the legs off the speaker and re-use the old bracket. Cut the speaker wires and solder it onto your new speakers screw in your new speakers and there you go new aftermarket speakers. Just re-assemble the same why you dis-assembled.

Rears:

Things Needed-

  1. Speakers
  2. Screwdrivers (Flat and Phillips)
  3. Socket wrench with 10mm socket
  4. Wire cutters/strippers
  5. Crimps connectors or solder and solder iron

Start off with folding the rear seats down, Take out all of the plastic screws, just unscrew them a little bit and then pull them out. Go to the trunk and look up to where the rear speaker magnets are, you should see 3 white clips; press the sides in and push up into the rear deck, go around back into the car and the back "c-pillars" pull the weather stripping out and using the flat screw driver pry off the pillar popping noise is normal. Once both sides are off you can take the back deck off and the speakers will be exposed.

Using your 10mm socket and wrench, undo the 4 bolts that hold in the 6x9 speakers, disconnect the wires and re-install new speakers. You will notice that the holes don't line up, there are 3 things you can do, 1. you can use zip ties and to hold your new speakers in (if you go this route, I recommend you use pipe insulator material or pieces of a sponge to act as cushion between the metal-metal contact it lessons vibration) 2. drill new holes to accommodate your new speakers or 3. go on eBay and buy a set of 6x9 speaker adaptors desigend for 2003-2008 corollas. connect the wires and re-assemble everything the same way you took it off. then your ready to bump.

I hope this helps
