The sensor is located in the rear axle Differential, near the rear. You disconnect the electrical connection, inspect the wires and harness as these seem to cause the premature failure of the sensor. then you use a 10mm socket to release the bolt retaining the sensor in the housing and carefully remove the defective part. Avoid contaminating the rear axle fluid. :)
Where is the speedometer sensor located in a Jeep Liberty 2002?
I may be wrong but I believe that it runs through the PCM and a sensor on the top of the rear differential.
Could be your speed sensor on your transmission
There is no speedometer cable to change. Subaru, like all modern cars, has an electronic speedometer. --Ken
If the speedometer and odometer are not working it may be a faulty VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) located on the tail end of the transmission. If only the speedometer is not working it is probably in the cluster and would require replacing the cluster as one unit with a new, rebuilt or used cluster.
The speedometer sensor is located directly above the tranny end cover (toward the rear) on the right side of the bike. You'll see the wire leading from it.
The sensor is located on top of the transmission on the right side toward the rear.
Please answer the question. "How do you change an oxygen sensor in a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville
the answer is no. 2002 was the first year the liberty was made. in 2003 they change the computer modules..the only engine you can put in a 2002 jeep liberty is a 2002 engine
If the speedometer and the odometer are not working, I would suspect the VSS (vehicle speed sensor). If only the speedometer is not working I would suspect the instrument cluster has problems.
The speedometer signal comes form the rear axle speed sensor on top of the rear axle.
The speedometer signal comes form the transmission computer via the output speed sensor.
