you must first remove the intake system but before you start anything, disconnect the battery. Second remove the battery and battery tray ( this makes it easier to access the top bolt. You will then be able to see the the top bolt for the starter (12mm socket) located next to a transmission bolt. Do not remove it just yet, you must first release the 3 bolts under.
Now jack the car up, make sure its secure and wont cause any injuries, once secure, proceed to move under the car. Once under, look to where you the oil filter, left to it, you should see the starter. There are 3 bolts (all 12mm) remove all the bolts and disconnect the electrical connection.
Now proceed back to the top and remove the bolt thats accesible from the top of engine bay. Now go back under the car and wiggle the starter out. you Might have to maneuver a certain way but it'll come out
