Not enough space to go through the whole procedure but if you have never done suspension work like this, to be safe you should let a mechanic do this because if you don't know what you are doing you could kill yourself. Naturally you need jack stands, a couple of car jacks, and the coil springs. One person who knows what he is doing can do the job in usually 1 day, a lot better if you have 2 people. You didn't say whether you were converting the car to coil springs or just replacing the air ride, either way it's done the same way.
In the trunk there is a trap door on the drivers side with the on off button.

If you are talking about the air bag suspension the switch is in the trunk, driver's side, little access panel or disconnect the battery for about an hour and the light will go out.

The Lincoln MK VIII series ( '93-'98 ) were rear wheel drive.
The flasher module on a 1994 MK VIII is located to the left of the glove compartment. To access it, you must remove screws that hold the the glove compartment door hinge. After you remove the glove compartment, the flasher is mounted on a dash support beam to the left side of the compartment.
