Open the trunk and pull the carpeting back from the rear lights and there are 3 or 4 twist nuts that you take off and the light will come out, do this on both sides.
open trunk and pull back lining, take off the nuts that hold assembly in, pull assembly out.
Two screws hold the lamp assembly to the rear bumper cover. Remove the screws. Once the assembly is off the bumper cover, all you need to do is twist the lamp holder a quarter of a turn to remove it from assembly. The bulb itself just pulls out. unscrew the light from the car, it should pop out. Twist the light bulb out and then pop the light off from the base. Reverse to reassemble.
you need to remove the taillight assembly. you will see all the bulbs.
Unscrew the bulb by turning it coumterclockwise and it will come out of the assembly.
undo the plugs on the plastic grill (the ones ontop) then its a matter of wedging the light back and pulling it up

In order to change a bulb in the tail light of a Chevy Celebrity you must remove the tail light assembly from the car. To remove the tail light assembly" 1. In the trunk next to the quarter panel there are nuts that hold the rear header on, the center nut holds the tail light assembly on. It will be in the center of the tail light assembly near the outer edge. Take the nut off and pull the tail light assembly out until the stud clears the body. 2. Pull the tail light assembly to the side to disengage the tabs from the backup light panel. 3. Twist the appropriate socket to remove it from the tail light assembly, then unplug the lamp and replace it. Reverse the steps to reinstall the tail light assembly.
