How do you change the torque converter solenoid on a 1997 sunfire and where is it?

Remove the transaxle side cover (behind left front wheel).
You will see some wires coming from a plug at the top forward facing bit of the transaxle running (inside tranny) down, then rearward to a solenoid.
Remove the one mounting screw from the solenoid and remove the solenoid and wires.
Install new unit in reverse order.
Always replace transmission filter when replacing lockup solenoid.
