There are two plugs on the side of the transmission. Remove the lower plug to drain and refill in the upper plug. Also, this transmission uses automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) not the heavy 90W oil that older models used.
If the 96 Transmission is a 5speed and the 2001 prelude is a 5speed, the mount from the 2001 Transmission should bolt up to the 96 Transmission and be a Direct Bold on Replacement.
Comes auto. or 5 speed. It is a 5speed manual tranny
yes...as long as it is b series it will fit onto any b series example- b18 tranny will be compatible with a b16 motor.......LS is b18....
Look on the passenger side of the tranny for a plug and if you take the plug out it goes in there.
Automatic trannys are different. The tail shaft on a 2wd tranny is different than a 4wd because of the transfercase. If in fact the 2wd manual tranny does not fit a 4wd you can always change the tail shaft to make it work.
Pull the engine. One or the other has to come out.
a ford ranger w/ 3.0 tranny. have fun dude. just get the same year model.
can you answer the question i have a 1990 ford ranger with a Mazda manual transmission what fluid does it require
it is a manual 5 speed tranny.
Yes, any 2.8 will fit in a transformer.
Drop the tranny pan and change the tranny filter at 50,000 miles.
The Tranny will bolt up to the engine fine you just have to change all the components from manual to automatic (clutch, flexplate, flywheel, and all that jazz) Good Luck!
