You will notice water leaking out of the water pump specifically around the pulley area.
The top pulley in the center front of the engine is the water pump.
you must first remove muffler bearing
Most usually at the front of the engine, on top and can recognize it by the connecting water hose, usually larger.
There is a separate belt on the opposite side of the motor from the serpentine belt. that belt runs off the camshaft and drives the water pump
No you dont need any special tools to change the water pump you just need to create space around the area because its in a closed in spot and it is alot of screws to take off ..
it is at the driver's side end of the frontmost camshaft right up on top. it is an easy fix but you will need the special tool.
remove top water hose remove four screws frist remove belt from tension spring then need special wrench to turn and pull water pump out

If in fact the only thing that needs to be replaced is the pulley, you will have find a method of holding the pulley so that it cannot turn and remove the four small bolts that holds it on to the water pump pulley shaft. If the pulley appears to be bent or not straight, chances are the water pump shaft bushing is worn. If this is the case, the entire water pump must be replaced. If you are getting coolant seepage it is most likely the bushing.
These are typically easy to changed first take off the pulley then you will have access to the bolts they behind the pulley
