This is a great video on how to take apart the washing machine. In reverse order, he shows you parts of a washing machine. Check out the instructions here: http://www.mindbites.com/lesson/425-fix-washing-machine
Perhaps you left them in the washing machine overnight? I'd wash them again in HOT water, and then dry them as soon as they come out of the washing machine. If this is a frequent occurrence, I'd recommend that you check out the internal lint filter.
I dropped engagement ring in washer and it slid under the agitator .. out of panic, I drained the water and let it go through the spin cycle hoping it would shake it out but it didn't.. so i checked if my machine has a filter, its usually located on the bottom corner of machine.. if not in the filter or like my machine it didnt have a filter then this is what i did.. first do not let it go through another wash cycle.. second turn the main source of water off that supplies water to the washer.. third, unhook the hose connected to washing machine (be prepared for lots of excess water draining out).. step four, turn machine on wash cycle and if ur lucky like I was then the ring will pop right out the drain : )
Unpleasant odors in a washing machine are a common issue that can be caused by a variety of factors. Addressing these factors can help eliminate the odor. Here are some steps to tackle washing machine odor: Clean the Drum: Wash the drum of your washing machine regularly. Run an empty cycle with hot water and add a cup of white vinegar or a washing machine cleaner specifically designed to remove residue and odors. This helps clean the interior of the machine. Leave the Door Open: After each wash, leave the washing machine door slightly ajar to allow air to circulate inside, preventing the growth of mold and mildew. Clean the Gasket and Seal: Thoroughly clean the rubber gasket around the door. Wipe it down with a mixture of water and vinegar to remove any residue that may be causing odors. Check for Drainage Issues: Make sure the washing machine's drain hose is positioned correctly, allowing proper drainage. A drain hose that is too low can lead to water accumulation, which can create a musty smell. Use High-Efficiency (HE) Detergent: If your washing machine is a high-efficiency model, use HE detergent as it produces fewer suds, reducing the risk of residue buildup. Avoid Overloading: Overloading the washing machine can lead to poor water circulation and inadequate cleaning, which can contribute to odors. Regularly Clean the Dispenser Drawer: If your washing machine has a detergent dispenser drawer, remove it and clean it thoroughly to prevent the buildup of detergent and fabric softener residues. Inspect the Drain Filter: Check the washing machine's drain filter for lint, hair, and other debris. A clogged filter can cause odors. Check for Mold and Mildew: If you suspect mold or mildew in your washing machine, it may be necessary to remove parts (such as the detergent drawer) for thorough cleaning. Scrub visible mold or mildew with a solution of water and vinegar or a mild detergent. Run Regular Hot Water Cycles: Running regular hot water cycles without laundry and using the cleaning methods mentioned above can help prevent odors from recurring. By following these steps and maintaining a regular cleaning routine, you can help keep your washing machine smelling fresh and clean.
The blue tube.
You bought a crap appliance, like I did. ( never worked correctly from day one, now packed up completely).
You probably have a clogged filter. The filter is a made of wire mesh that is molded to the approximate dimensions of a thimble. Becuase the wire mesh of the filter is very fine, it is difficult to clean. Order a replacement from the manufacturer. Be sure to shut the water off and remove the hose. There are sometimes small screen filters on the hoses, and always a screen filter on the infeed to the washer where the hose connects. Check the filter. Even a little bit of build-up can cause severe issues with fill time. My washer was taking close to an hour to fill on cold, and now fills in 2 minutes since changing the filter.
quite simple, when 5e is displayed it means to check the debris filter at the bottom right hand side of washer. dont forget to drain the washer first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
an air filter
A backwashing is a form of water treatment in which water is pumped backwards through the filter media, sometimes with the use of compressed air.
