You didnt say what year and what engine
Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine - the thermostat is in the bulb housing that that hose attaches to.
The thermostat on a 1989 Oldsmobile 98 Regency is located in the engine compartment, specifically at the end of the upper radiator hose where it connects to the engine. To access it, you'll need to remove the upper radiator hose and the thermostat housing, which is typically secured by bolts. Make sure the engine is cool before attempting to replace the thermostat to avoid burns.
