I would buy a set of flare nut wrenches. They have an open side to fit over the line so that you can get on the flare nut going into the transmission and radiator. Get a pan to catch the tranny fluid that is going to run out when you break the lines. There are 2 lines going into the tranny and 2 lines going into the radiator. Before you take the lines loose identify their position on the radiator and tranny with masking tape.
transmission cooler lines runs from transmission to the radiator
If there are lines coming from the transmission to the radiator, it has a cooler in the radiator. If there are lines from the transmission to an external heat exchanger, that would be an auxiliary cooler.
There are no vacuum lines running to the automatic transmission.
The 1999 - 2006 acura tl's don't have a transmission oil cooler. no cooler lines to the standard radiator either. Phil
The transmission cooler lines are located coming from the radiator on the bottom. One is for the sending and the other for return. The lines are high pressure, just as your radiator hoses are when the car is running. The lines go from the radiator to the top of the transmission.
Oh yes.
If it is a manual transmission you do not have transmission cooler lines. If its an automatic they will be on one side of the radiator and you can follow them to the tranny from there.
3.1qts just to change out. 7.6l total including lines and cooler
Cooler lines should fit.Check and see if you have a 904 or 727 transmission. It should work fine, Good luck.
Check the transmission cooler and cooling lines for a blockage. It is quite possible the cooler is plugged.
trasmision lines from cooler radiator a big problems of leaks from them i have that rite now must change all if not mistaken 3 diffrent its like presure hoses but from cooler to transmission and from transmission to cooler rite back of the front grill of the cat the transmission cooler is there folow with your eyes for leaks.
Most oil cooler lines run from the transmission to the radiator and can easily be seen from under the vehicle.
