I miss my old Intruder 1400 ... Great bike! The "transmission fluid" on a Suzuki Intruder is the normal engine oil, just as it is on most manual transmission vehicles. It uses the same oil from the crankcase reservoir, so every time you change your oil, you are also changing the Transmission Fluid.
Just a quick money saving tip on changing your oil on this bike: you don't need to buy the expensive motorcycle oil filter. There is a standard automobile oil filter that will fit the threading and gasket of the Intruder. Since the automotive filter has a larger volume of filtration, it will actually work better than the more expensive OEM filter on the Suzuki.
The transmission fluid in a Suzuki Intruder is the engine oil.The engine uses a wet clutch,do not use any energy saving car oils.I have had good luck with Shell Rotella T which is now motorcycle certified JASO-MA.Try intruderalert.com for lots of info.
On The Floor.
You do not change the trans fluid. It is a life time synthetic fluid.
most motorcycles do not have separate tranny fluid, the motor oil is also lube for tranny.
the transmission filler?
the 2007 suzuki does not have a dip stick you must take it to a professional to get transmission fluid checked.
Nowhere. Intruder doesn't have any transmission that takes trans fluid! Mostly 98% of bikes don't have transmissions. What you're looking for is a gear-box, which shares motor oil with the engine. 1. There is a 'glass-eye' fluid level window on the right, bottom side of crankcase. Your bike must be upright, not on side stand, and make sure the fluid is no higher than 'F"-full mark. 2. Use recommended 10W-40 MOTORCYCLE OIL ONLY. Preffered, semi-synthetic. Yes, semi-synthetic in this case is better than full synthetic. Has to do with lubricating/molecule bonding/heat temperature properties of a blend. 3. Never use automotive oil. These have special detergents and friction reducers that can make wet-clutch in your bike slip.
Being surprised my 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara (same as Tracker) had a drain plug for the transmission. I just change the fluid, not the filter or gasket.
Suzuki trans fluid SP4A ( LT 71141 )
It is important to use the right type of transmission fluid in a cars transmission. The 2004 Suzuki Alto uses Dexron III transmission fluid.
