The starter on a 93 Geo Metro is located on the back side or firewall side of the engine. The battery will need to be disconnected and the cables removed from the solenoid and then the two bolts holding the starter to the engine can be removed. When installing the starter make the battery connection the last thing you do.
No they will not fit. after 1994 the Geo Metro developed a new more curved body system. You can use a 1989 - 1994 Geo Metro door though.

No, it will not. After 1994 the Geo Metro became more curved so any part from before 1995 will not fit your geo metro. You can use any hood from 1995 - 1999 depending on the body style.
There is not one.
The timing marks on a 1993 Geo Metro are located on the on the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets. They must be aligned together to ensure proper initial timing.
I normally turn the key and the starter turns the motor... check complete.
.43 gap
It could be any number of things. Most common for the Geo Metro is one of the main engine fuses went out, one of the battery terminals shorted (happens a lot in older Metros), or a main engine component such as your alternator or starter is not working. Hope this helped :)
Remove the cables from the starter. Remove the three retaining bolts from the starter. The starter will come out. Reverse the process to install the new starter.
