You shouldn't have to purge it if you fill the filter up with fuel before putting it on the truck. If you have already put it on then you need to open a line between the filter and the fuel distributor. Crank the engine until you see fuel and then close the line. Should start and run then.
The 3.2 liter V6 most certainly does. It is located under the carpet beneath the passenger side front seat. If you see the "check trans" light and your tranny is in limp mode (L and 3rd gears only), the connectors to the transmission control module may be loose.
A code 37 on an Isuzu Rodeo means to check the transmission. This could mean that a short is occurring between the Transmission Control Module and the Electronic Computer Unit. Check all wires going from the transmission to the computer. If no short is found, a tube might be placed over the wires to prevent them from accidentally coding for no reason other than magnetic interference.
The year, make and model info would help.
YOUR ENGINE CONTROL MODULE CAN HAVE SOME OF THE PARAMETERS RE-PROGRAMED/ADJUSTED. I would advise going to the dealership, their factory scan tool is more in-depth in doing this than a generic scan tool. But if you want to radically reprogram your engine control module you will have to go to performance center, if your car has an automatic transmission engine control module and transmission control module talk to each other and depending upon the intelligence of the components they might watch each others peraminators,if they are out of these it could cause the check engine or check transmission light to be turned on,
how do you find out how to check the transmition in a isuzu rodeo
if it is an automatic then yes, if it is a standard transmission then no

I have a 1994 Isuzu Trooper and it has issues upshifting at lower speeds. How do I check the fluid level in the transmission when there is no dipstick?
Have the trans computer checked for codes, and ask a new question about the code you get.
The check trans light may light up in an Isuzu Rodeo, because there are problems with the transmission, The light will show up on the cars dashboard.
The module is located on the transmission hump in front of the gearshift under the dash. If you check under the cup holder, you will find two sets of wires going in and these will lead you to the module. The module also has the crash sensors built into it. Good luck
It is behind the drivers side headlight, right next to the fuse box. The name for it is engine ECM. There will be another box directly behind the headlight, that is the transmission control module, or TCM. Check out dodgeintrepid.net for tons of info on these cars.
