there is a drain plug and a fill plug on the underside of the transmission. you need to use the fill plug. To change the transmission filter on a 1992 Isuzu Trooper, first ensure the vehicle is securely lifted and supported. Drain the transmission fluid by removing the transmission pan bolts and carefully lowering the pan. Remove the old filter and clean the pan, then install the new filter and gasket. Finally, reattach the pan, refill the transmission with new fluid, and check the levels to ensure proper operation.
