The steptronic system is a type of transmission that BMW uses. This system allows you to drive your car as a manual or an automatic.

BMW's 135i, 335i, 535i, and Z4 sdrive35i are all 6 cyl turbocharged cars available with steptronic transmissions. The new 2010 Taurus SHO comes with a turbocharged V6 and a steptronic transmission. The Mitsubishi EVO is a 4cyl turbo available with a clutchless manual (not a true automatic, but still lacking a clutch pedal). The Porsche 911 Turbo and Bugatti Veyron also use clutchless manuals.
