One of two options are available. One is to just pick up the phone and look at the call log and messages. Another method is to put software or an app on the phone that will forward you the information via email or your cell phone. There are possible legal issues with these methods if the phone is not yours.
Hi Can I have the make and model number of the phone please? Thanks
A SMS gateway is the method used to in effect allow SMS messages or text messages to be generated or read using a computer. Most of course are on the cell phone network but increasingly they are accessible from a normal computer.
There are sites out there (for parents) that allow them to look at texts sent from the childs phone to another phone. There is also one that allows that AND you can check your facebook messages...but it requires you to download a third party app.
Instead of responding to someone by a normal cell phone call you type a message on your phone keyboard and send it via the cell phone' text messaging service. It is a feature in your messages folder. Check your inbox there. You probably have text messages there you never look at. I just checked mine and found 5. Read your cell phone instruction book for more complete help. It cost me 10 cents extra to send a text message.
contact carrier and see if you can check them online or via a bill
